THUMBNAIL IMAGES

A 95 WKAZ frisbee, probably from the very early 80's.  Note the station's slogan has changed slightly from 'The Rhythm of the City' to 'The Rhythm of Charleston'.

A WKAZ coffee mug marked "1983" commemorating the blockbuster motion picture "Return of the Jedi".  A new (and apparently short-lived) logo proclaiming WKAZ to be "The Amazing AM".  The station was automated during most of 1983 and changed calls to WQBE late that year, simulcasting co-owned WQBE-FM's country music format.

THUMBNAIL IMAGE

A window decal for radio advertisers to display in the front door of their business.  By displaying the decal, the radio station got free advertising in each store window and merchants that displayed these decals got "extra mentions" on the air.
