Rick,
I saw your post in rec.radio.broadcasting, and visited the 95 WKAZ website -
brings back a few old memories. I was (co) Chief Engineer at WKAZ, along with
Albert Gibbons, from February '63 until May '65.
When I started, WKAZ was a big-band station, and I started doing some on-air
in the evenings. I continued to DJ when they went Top-40, doing 2 hours for
Shoney's every night.
I saw nothing on your on-air page about the "great" Bob Turley, and was going
to add his name to the list, but then I noted that he was listed on the
contributor page, so I can assume that the on-air page is under construction.
Early 60's is way too long ago to remember anything of significance. I can
picture the other air-staff but the names escape me.
Thanks for the web site!
